What influences the shaping of a movement expression? Which space, which images lay behind it? The dance duet Mandinga explores the layering of drawings, animation, performance and dance to visually create a world intrinsically connected with Afro-Brazilian movement culture.

The word Mandinga means: magic, malice, inner power, a trick that confuses and misleads the other. Above all Mandinga is a manifestation of the physical, mental and spiritual expression in the Capoeira de Angola and Afro-Brazilian culture.
