Fading Fire - Lois Alexander

Lois Alexander

Fading Fire takes on the theme of fire. This piece confronts the complexities between nature and humans. It is an exploration on balance, tension, and reaction. The solo uses the dance to make sense of the situations that are outside of our control, and pushes the line where function meets dysfunction. The performance is on tour with the Moving Futures Festival 2019.

Lois Alexander (US, 1991) is a graduate from the Juilliard School in New York. In 2014 she moved to Europe and danced for various choreographers and directors. The solo Fading Fire (2018) was her debut as a choreographer and premiered at You Better Move #4 (Dansmakers Amsterdam).
