Marie-Rose Mayele

Marie-Rose Mayele (1974) grew up in Brussels. Since 1997 she has been dancing, singing and acting in pieces for youngsters and kids in the Netherlands and Belgium: Les Déménageurs, Danstheater AYA, ISH & Pantalone.
In 2003 she started choreographing. Between 2007 and 2012 she did dance research at Dansmakers Amsterdam. There she created the youth dance piece 'VALSE NOTEN'.
The work of Marie-Rose Mayele is considered to be playful, multicultural and theatrical. With her disarming personality she knows how to win her audience as a dancer, singer and choreographer. She studied Dance and Dance Pedagogy in Lier (Belgium) and Theatre in Amsterdam.
In 2005 she won the price ?Coq and Cristal? given by the Flemish Ministry of Culture.
Since 2009 she is produced by the production house of Dansmakers Amsterdam.
